Nexxiot steps in the UAE with strategic partnership

Swiss company Nexxiot partnered with the Dubai based Seed Group to expand its services in the Arabian peninsula, the Middle East and Northern Africa. Their shared goal is to enable greener logistics and sustainable transport in the United Arab Emirates, as a first step, by promoting digitalisation.

The Seed Group is a company belonging to the private office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, an Emirati politician and also the CEO of the Emirates Group. The Seed Group is a company that advises and helps companies to launch their business in the UAE and the broader region of the Middle East and Northern Africa.

As they mention, they ā€œlead companies straight to the top brass of the final decision-making machinery in the governmentā€. Understandably, the partnership with Nexxiot will help the Swiss company explore the market possibilities in the UAE and contribute to greening its transport sector.

5 per cent emission reduction

ā€œIn line with the UAE governmentā€™s vision for a more sustainable future, Nexxiot aims to enable a 5 per cent reduction in global carbon dioxide cargo emissions by increasing efficiency in cargo transport and eliminating waste caused by inefficient routes, aligning with the UAEā€™s Net-Zero by 2050 initiativeā€ stated the two companies.

Nexxiot will bring its expertise, namely a technology portfolio including the Internet of Things and big data analytics and help with digitalisation processes in the UAEā€™s transport sector. ā€œBringing Nexxiot to the Middle East will greatly contribute to the UAEā€™s vision for a more sustainable future. We are very excited about starting our journey with themā€, said Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of Seed Group.
