Austrian rail freight operator Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is launching a new service through its recently established Serbian subsidiary. The service will connect Serbia’s capital Belgrade to the Croatian port of Rijeka.

More specifically, trains will run between the Nelt container terminal, located west of Belgrade, and the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal in Rijeka. The service “is operated by the RCG using in-house traction and makes 1 to 2 round trips per week with a transit time of up to 24 hours”, RCG specified.

This is the second service launched by RCG via its Serbian subsidiary, launched in cooperation with Serbian logistics company Transfera last June. The first service started in August and connects Serbia to Germany via Hungary, with stops in Kruševac, in central Serbia, the BILK terminal in Budapest, and Duisburg.
