French quarry operator Carrières de l’Ouest, a major user of rail freight to move its aggregate products, has diversified into third-party services. The French company is undertaking this initiative by developing new containers suitable for the transport of other products including wood, plastics, waste, scrap metal or any non-liquid goods.
