London set for east end freight terminal on Olympic site

Network Rail has launched its masterplan for a redeveloped freight terminal on the site of the former Bow Goods Yard in the east of London. It will see the regeneration of over 30 acres (around 12.5 hectares) of brownfield land.  Bow Goods Yard is currently home to several heavy rail freight uses. It is the last remaining industrial site in the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) area and is strategically located next to the A12 arterial road.
