RailFreight Summit is going to Malaszewicze, are you joining?
It is finally happening, RailFreight Summit is taking you to Malaszewicze. The most popular border crossing on the New Silk Road will be the destination of our site visit during the RailFreight Summit Poland 2023.
On 19 & 20 April the 6th edition of the RailFreight Summit Poland takes place, in the capital city of Warsaw. But we will not stay there, as we are taking the attendees on a site visit to the much-discussed transshipment hub Malaszewicze. “This is what the audience has been asking for, so we have listened and made it happen”, says Rob Vos, one of the organisers of the event.
Much-anticipated rail freight site
Malaszewicze is one of the most discussed sites on the New Silk Road. It is here that thousand of trains enter or leave Europe, from or towards China. Due to its popularity it needs more capacity. Modernisation plans are on the table, but due to a shift of focus from the EU towards Ukraine, the available funds are limited. All eyes are now on the Polish government to safeguard the future for the important intersection.
The second day of the summit is fully dedicated to the development of Malaszewicze. We not only pay a visit to some of the terminals in Malaszewicze, but also organise interesting discussions and presentations about the transhipment hub throughout the day. Do you think you have something important to say about Malaszewicze? Feel free to contact us by emailing to news@railfreight.com.
Train journey through the CEE
The first day of the RailFreight Summit Poland is a conference day within the premises of the location. On the agenda are four focus areas, all catering to a specific community: Poland and Ukraine, Poland on the New Silk Road, At the heart of the CEE and Towards Western Europe. Each session will have a knowledge part, a discussion and a networking session.
Participants choose their ‘destination of interest’ before the summit starts, to make sure they meet the people they need to meet. We call this the train journey through the CEE. At Central Station (the main area) people ‘get out’ to do even more networking, with all the other ‘passengers’. Will you join us on the journey through the CEE? Boarding at CEE time!
