TX Logistik wants to transport more goods in the Netherlands with new certificate
The European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) has renewed the safety certificate of TX Logistik AG for rail freight transport in the Netherlands and Germany. The railway logistics company, which is part of the Mercitalia Group (Gruppo FS Italiane), now holds a certificate for the next five years, thus valid until 2027.
The recertification was preceded by intensive preparation, whereby TX Logistik had to meet strict European safety requirements. With the certificate, TX Logistik is also allowed to transport hazardous substances in the Netherlands and Germany, among other places.
Connection with the Netherlands
“Safety is a priority for Mercitalia Group and TX Logistik. The new safety certificate is essential to ensure continued traction”, said the freight carrier. TX Logistik currently operates on two routes in the Netherlands. Goods are transported between Venlo and Melzo / Milan six times a week. In addition, the rail logistics company connects Rotterdam with Munich and Kornwestheim, respectively, three times a week.
TX Logistik expresses the ambition to grow further in the coming years within the Netherlands and the rest of the European rail network. In addition to the Netherlands, the freight carrier is certified to drive in Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.
