Lodz

RailFreight.com is on a road trip in Lodz, and would like to take you along. We organise a webinar called RailFreight Live, Road Trip to Lodz on Friday 16 July, 1-2pm CEST. In this webinar, we have a sneak preview of the RailFreight Summit to be held in this Polish city. Will you join us?

This Friday 16 July, RailFreight Live takes place in the form of a webinar, to dedicate special attention to the RailFreight Summit in Lodz, which takes place on 1 & 2 September 2021. In less than 50 days, the rail freight industry gathers once again in Poland, to discuss the latest developments in intermodal traffic in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). Now is the right time to talk about this event, and we do this in a dedicated, free-of-charge webinar.

Instead of 30 minutes, the RailFreight Live webinar takes 60 minutes. In this hour, we go from the mayor’s office to the event venue, meeting several speakers along the way. We will also be hosting speakers from our studio in Rotterdam for a live conversation.

Who are the guests?

We meet with Anna Mideira, CEO of the Airport of Lodz. This airport is part of the TEN-T network, and plans to extend its services from only air cargo to a logistics-wide portfolio. Mideira explains why Lodz is the ideal place to become a logistics hub.

The potential of the city is certainly acknowledged by Marcin Czachorowski from Contargo, which is current;y builidng a terminal in the city. The company already operates a rail freight service between Lodz and Chengdu in China, and has big plans for this node on the New Silk Road.

Guest of honour

A guest of honour in the show is the deputy mayor of Lodz, Adam Pustelnik. At the event, he will be welcoming the international audience, but he also made time to speak to the audience of Friday’s webinar. He explains why the city is located in the best position to service intermodal traffic in the CEE region. To begin with, the city is exactly in the middle of the country, he points out.
