This week, we talk to Charleen Wallace, the director for freight at Britainā€™s infrastructure management agency Network Rail. We ask her about the infrastructure plans, the place for freight on the network and future prospects of rail freight in the UK.

A short item produced by Cameron Stuart will look at the change in the dominance of passenger traffic since the onset of the pandemic; developments at ports; maintaining the network and making heritage structures like Ribblehaed fit for purpose; and the effects of Brexit.

Last, we will talk with Maggie Simpson from Rail Freight Group, John Smith from GB RailFreight and Simon Walton fromĀ RailFreight.comĀ about the impact of the Brexit on rail freight in the UK.
