‘Common vision is necessary to implement Capacity Regulation’

The Regulation on the Use of Railway Infrastructure Capacity, part of the Greening Freight Package (GFP), remains one of the hottest topics in the European rail freight sector. One of the main issues seems to be that different countries have different needs and expectations, which makes it difficult to create a system that satisfies all. However, there is still time to fix things, as the GFP first readings are not expected before mid-2025, as UIRR President Ralf-Charley Schultze mentioned.
