Helrom to launch new Germany-Austria service

Helrom, a German company specialised in the rail transport of non-cranable semi-trailers, will launch a new service connecting Braunschweig, in northern Germany, with Vienna.

The first trains will depart on 24 June with one daily departure. This is not Herlom’s first connection to the Austrian capital. In 2020, the company launched a connection between the port of Vienna and Düsseldorf, in western Germany.

Moreover, this is the second new service launched by Helrom since the beginning of 2024. In April, the company partnered with Audi to establish rail connections between three car manufacturing sites. Two are in Germany, in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt, while the third is in Győr, in Hungary. Moreover, the company operates a service on the route from Regensburg, near the German border with Czechia, and Lébény, near the Hungarian border with Slovakia.
