This week, we talk to Charleen Wallace, the director for freight at Britainās infrastructure management agency Network Rail. We ask her about the infrastructure plans, the place for freight on the network and future prospects of rail freight in the UK.
A short item produced by Cameron Stuart will look at the change in the dominance of passenger traffic since the onset of the pandemic; developments at ports; maintaining the network and making heritage structures like Ribblehaed fit for purpose; and the effects of Brexit.
